Connect external GoHighLevel sub-accounts to your workspace
Link GHL sub-accounts from other agencies so you can manage them alongside your native accounts in Centerfy.
If a client already has a GHL sub-account with another agency, you can connect it to your Centerfy workspace without migrating it. The sub-account stays under its original agency in GHL while you manage it in Centerfy.
Connecting an external sub-account
- Open the Sub-Accounts page
Navigate to Agency Workspace > Sub-Accounts and click the Create Sub-Account dropdown.
- Select Connect External GHL Subaccount
Choose Connect External GHL Subaccount. Do not select “Use Agency Connection” — that is only for sub-accounts under your own GHL agency.
- Authenticate with the external GHL account
A GHL OAuth window opens. Log in using credentials for the external GHL account that owns the sub-account.
- Select the sub-account
Choose the specific sub-account to link. The OAuth flow maps it into your Centerfy workspace.
- Verify
The sub-account now appears in Agency Workspace > Sub-Accounts and can be managed like any native sub-account.
Reconnecting a broken link
If the connection breaks (e.g., OAuth access was revoked), find the account in Agency Workspace > Sub-Accounts — it shows a disconnected status. Click the account and select Reconnect, then re-authenticate. Centerfy re-establishes the link without creating a duplicate.
FAQ
What is the difference between 'Use Agency Connection' and 'Connect External GHL Subaccount'?
Use Agency Connection links a sub-account under your own GHL agency using the agency-level OAuth. Connect External GHL Subaccount runs a separate OAuth flow against a different GHL agency.
Can I connect sub-accounts from multiple external agencies?
Yes. Each external sub-account has its own independent OAuth connection.
Does the external agency lose access?
No. The external agency retains full access in their GHL dashboard. Centerfy does not transfer ownership.
