Add white-labelled help docs to your sub-account sidebar

Add a custom help documentation link to every sub-account sidebar so your clients access your own branded support docs directly from the platform.

If you maintain your own help documentation — whether hosted on a custom domain, a knowledge base tool, or a site like Notion — you can add it as a sidebar link that appears inside every sub-account. Clients see your branded help docs as a native part of the platform, reinforcing your white-label experience without exposing any Centerfy branding.

  1. Open White Label settings

Navigate to Agency Workspace > White Label and scroll to the Advanced Customization section.

  2. Open Manage Menu Links

Click Manage Menu Links. This opens the custom sidebar link configuration panel where you can add, edit, or remove links that appear in the sub-account navigation.

  3. Add a new link

Click Add Link and fill in the following fields:

    FieldWhat to enter
Link NameThe label that appears in the sidebar (for example, “Help Center” or “Documentation”)
URLThe full URL to your help docs (for example, https://docs.youragency.com)
Open BehaviorChoose whether the link opens in a new tab or within the same window
  4. Save

Click Save. The link is immediately visible in the sidebar of all sub-accounts under your agency.

Controlling visibility

By default, custom menu links are visible to all users across every sub-account in your agency. If you need to restrict visibility:

  • Role-based restriction — When configuring the link, check whether a target audience or role filter is available. If so, set it to show the link only to specific user roles (for example, admins only).
  • Per-account control — Currently, custom menu links apply globally to all sub-accounts. To provide different help docs per client, consider using a single landing page that routes clients based on their account or domain.

FAQ

Can I add multiple custom links to the sidebar?

Yes. You can add as many links as needed — for example, a help docs link, a community forum link, and a feature request board. Each link appears as a separate item in the sub-account sidebar navigation.

Do agency-level users see the custom links too?

Custom menu links configured under White Label are targeted at sub-account sidebars. The visibility in the agency-level sidebar depends on the specific link configuration options available in the Manage Menu Links panel.

Can I link to a password-protected help center?

Yes, but the user will need to authenticate separately with your help center when they click the link. Centerfy does not pass login credentials to external URLs. For a seamless experience, consider using an SSO-enabled help center or one that does not require authentication.

What URL format should I use?

Always use a full URL including the protocol — for example, https://docs.youragency.com rather than just docs.youragency.com. Relative URLs will not work since the link points to an external site.
