Call through lists fast with the Power Dialer

Build dial lists from your contacts, call through them one after another with smart caller ID selection, log an outcome after every call, and drop voicemails automatically.

The Power Dialer lets you (or your sales reps) call through a list of contacts back-to-back. It picks the best caller ID for each contact, times out unanswered dials, prompts you for an outcome after every call, auto-tags contacts based on that outcome, and keeps a full call log and session report.

Opening the Power Dialer

The Power Dialer is not in the sidebar. Open it from the Contacts page:

  1. Click Contacts in the sidebar.
  2. Click the Power Dialer button at the top-right of the page (on mobile it appears as a phone icon).

You land on the Power Dialer page with five tabs: Dialer, Contact Lists, Call Logs, Voicemail Drops, and Supervisor (the Supervisor tab is visible to admins and owners only).

Standard operating procedure: run a dialing session

1. Build a dial list from Contacts

Dial lists are created on the Contacts page — there is no other way to add contacts to the dialer:

  1. On Contacts, select the contacts you want to call (checkboxes or a Smart List).
  2. Click Add to Power Dialer (N) in the toolbar.
  3. In the dialog, give the list a name (e.g. “Hot Leads — July”). Left blank, it defaults to “Dial list — today’s date”.
  4. Click Add & open dialer to jump straight into the dialer, or Add list to keep working in Contacts.

Contacts without a dialable phone number are skipped automatically — the dialog tells you how many.

2. Pick the list and session settings

On the Dialer tab, click VIEW CONTACT LISTS and choose your list. Lists show who they’re assigned to: Assigned to you, Open list (any rep can take it), or Assigned to another rep (disabled for you).

Then review Session Settings:

SettingWhat it does
Dial modeLIVE CALLS places real calls through your phone integration. SIMULATION rehearses the flow with synthetic audio — no real calls.
Auto voicemail dropAutomatically plays your selected voicemail message when a machine answers (simulation mode only).
Auto-switch flagged caller IDsIf your matched outbound number is spam-flagged, silently dial from the best clean number instead of pausing to ask.
Double dial on no answerImmediately redials a contact once when the first attempt goes unanswered.
Converted pipeline stageThe pipeline stage applied to a contact when you mark the call Converted (default: Customer).
Cycle timeoutHow long an unanswered dial rings before moving on: 20, 30, or 45 seconds.

Click START DIALING SESSION.

3. During calls

The live session screen shows three panels: the dialer panel (line status, timer, pause/resume, stop, voicemail drop), the contact profile in the middle (loads as soon as a live voice is detected, with a Book Appointment button), and the contact queue on the right (skip upcoming contacts if needed).

While connected you get the standard in-call controls: mute, hold, keypad, and end call.

4. After every call: the wrap-up

After each call a Call wrap-up card appears for 15 seconds (then auto-advances):

  1. Pick an Outcome: Interested, Not Interested, Callback Requested, Wrong Number, No Answer, Voicemail Left, or Converted.
  2. Optionally type quick Notes.
  3. Click SAVE & NEXT CALL.

Each outcome automatically tags the contact (dialer-interested, dialer-callback, dialer-converted, and so on), and Converted also moves the contact to your configured pipeline stage. Everything is written to the call log, including the caller ID used and the recording once it’s ready.

5. Review the session report

When the session ends you get a report: dials, connects, connect rate, voicemails dropped, talk time, average call duration, appointments booked, and the full session call log.

Caller IDs and spam protection

The dialer only ever reads your phone number configuration — it never changes numbers, webhooks, or SIP settings:

  • If a phone number is assigned to you in Settings, it is used for every call you make.
  • Otherwise the sub-account’s default number is used, with local-presence matching that prefers a number whose area code matches the contact’s.
  • If the chosen number is spam-flagged, the dialer either pauses and asks you, or auto-switches to a clean number if you enabled Auto-switch flagged caller IDs.

Voicemail Drops

The Voicemail Drops tab holds your library of pre-recorded voicemail messages. You can add, delete, and set a default message, and see how often each one is dropped and listened to.

Supervisor tools (admins/owners)

The Supervisor tab has a Live Floor view (each rep’s live status, current contact, dials, connects, talk time, plus list assignment) and Agent Reporting (aggregate stats across all reps’ call logs).

Prerequisites and limits

  • Live calling requires an active phone integration with a default number and at least one active purchased phone number on the sub-account. Without one, the dialer runs in Simulation mode only.
  • Live mode dials one line at a time. Parallel multi-line dialing and pre-answer voicemail detection are simulation-only.
  • Dial lists, call logs shown in the dialer, and the voicemail library are stored per browser.
  • The Supervisor tab requires the admin or owner role.
