Run outbound SMS campaigns to re-engage leads

Send scheduled outbound SMS campaigns with AI agents handling replies automatically.

Campaigns let you send outbound SMS sequences to a list of contacts. When contacts reply, your AI agent handles the conversation automatically, or replies land in your Inbox for manual follow-up.

Creating a campaign

Navigate to Contacts in the sidebar, then select the Campaigns tab. Click Create Campaign.

  1. Name your campaign

    Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “May Re-engagement — Cold Leads”).

  2. Select contacts

    Choose a smart list, tag-based segment, or upload a CSV. Only contacts with valid phone numbers who have not opted out receive the campaign.

  3. Write your message

    Compose your SMS. Use merge fields like {firstName}, {lastName}, {businessName}, or custom fields. Keep under 160 characters to avoid splitting.

  4. Schedule the send

    Choose Immediately, a specific date/time, or staggered send to spread delivery.

  5. Assign an AI agent (optional)

    Select an AI agent to handle replies automatically — booking appointments, answering questions, or qualifying leads.

  6. Launch

    Review settings and click Start Campaign.

Campaign metrics

Each campaign row shows:

  • Delivery rate — messages successfully delivered
  • Reply rate — recipients who replied
  • Opt-outs — contacts who replied STOP
  • Appointments booked — bookings from this campaign

Compliance

If a contact replies STOP, they are immediately removed from all future campaigns. Do not send campaigns to contacts who have not opted in to receive SMS from your business.
