Run AI-powered SMS campaigns to re-engage your leads

Create and schedule outbound SMS campaigns to lists of contacts, with AI agents handling replies automatically so no lead goes unresponded to.

Campaigns let you send scheduled outbound SMS sequences to a list of contacts at once. Unlike one-off messages, campaigns are designed for proactive outreach — re-engaging cold leads, sending promotions, following up after events, or nurturing prospects through a multi-message sequence. When contacts reply, your AI agent can handle the conversation automatically, or replies land in your Conversations inbox for manual follow-up.

Creating a campaign

Navigate to Contacts in the sidebar, then select the Campaigns tab. Click Create Campaign to open the campaign setup flow.

  1. Name your campaign

    Give the campaign a descriptive name so you can identify it in your campaigns list (for example, “May Re-engagement — Cold Leads”).

  2. Select your contact list

    Choose an existing smart list or tag-based segment, or upload a new CSV of contacts. Only contacts who have valid phone numbers and have not opted out receive the campaign.

  3. Write your message

    Compose your SMS message. Use merge fields to personalize at scale. Keep messages under 160 characters to avoid splitting into multiple segments.

  4. Schedule the send

    Choose when to send:

    • Immediately — starts sending as soon as you launch the campaign
    • Specific date and time — sends at the time you set, in your account timezone
    • Staggered send — spreads sends over a time window to avoid delivery spikes
  5. Assign an AI agent (optional)

    Select an AI agent to handle replies automatically. When a contact responds to your campaign, the agent picks up the conversation and manages it end-to-end — booking appointments, answering questions, or qualifying the lead.

  6. Launch the campaign

    Review your settings and click Start Campaign. You can monitor delivery and reply stats from the campaign row in real time.

Campaign analytics

Each campaign row shows live performance metrics:

  • Delivery rate — percentage of messages successfully delivered to the carrier
  • Reply rate — percentage of recipients who replied
  • Opt-outs — contacts who replied STOP and were removed
  • Appointments booked — appointments that resulted directly from this campaign’s conversation thread

Click the analytics icon on any campaign row to open the detailed breakdown, including a message-by-message performance view and a comparison between campaign variants if A/B testing is enabled.

A/B testing

Create up to two message variants when setting up a campaign. Centerfy splits your contact list evenly between the variants and tracks which message generates a higher reply rate. Use the results to refine your messaging for future campaigns.

Compliance and opt-outs

Centerfy handles opt-out management automatically. If a contact replies STOP to any message, they are immediately removed from all future campaigns and flagged as opted out on their contact record. You do not need to manage this manually.
